Effects
People living with HIV & AIDS in our country live constantly under a shadow of Fear.
Fear of death, disease, abandonment and feelings of guilt, shame, regret and anger. There is a near non-existence of social infrastructure which prevents them from incorporating functional life styles after they test sero-positive. Thus, while developed countries can speak in terms of a clinical management of the virus, in developing countries like India the struggle is much more fundamental - access to basic social welfare and minimum health care facilities. It is a battle for survival, basic human rights and acceptance by society.
