It's not just what it does to you
What about those around you?
Your friend in need
Give your brain a break
It's never too late to get clean
Beware, it could be you next
The treatment lies in the method
Here's how you can help
Hold a candle to their lives
Reaching out
Listen, they have been there
Getting trashed is fun!

Symptoms

The addict rarely admits to the use of drugs. More often than not, he totally denies usage. It is only a well-wisher who can look for tell-tale signs and recognise dependency and its problems.

The chemically dependent person goes through a marked behavioral change in his attitude. The tell-tale signs are a sudden change of friends, secrecy, meetings behind closed doors, mysterious telephone calls, frequent absences, lying frequently etc.

He may spend large sums of money, beg, borrow or steal articles form the house or elsewhere. A change in age appropriate activities and relationships may be noticed. Becoming lethargic and apathetic with a loss of interest in personal hygiene, psychological disturbances such as irritability, lack of concentration, depression, suspicion, etc., are some of the marked symptoms of this disease.
