The Centres at Freedom Foundation offer a wide range of services to help Alcoholics/Drug Addicts and those affected by HIV/AIDS, cope with the psycho-social stress resulting from their condition. Simultaneously, it works towards opening up a space of acceptability to the reality of AIDS, first among the family, then the community and finally society. This translates as the first step towards prevention and containment of the disease. The Centre also acts as a bridge between the hospital and the home by attempting to train and integrate the family into the care process. |
